Referral Suitability
JH Mentoring supports participants of all ages. Every referral is reviewed individually so we can consider goals, support needs, risk, funding, location, mentor availability and service suitability. Our minimum shift length is 2 hours. Typical support sessions are usually 3-6 hours.
Some participants, particularly those with more complex support needs, may require additional weekly hours to ensure supports can be planned and delivered safely and consistently.
Group Programs and Short Term Respite
Sunday Socials and short term respite are available to existing JH Mentoring participants or to new participants who complete our simplified intake process.
This helps ensure we have the right emergency information, risk information, support details and funding arrangements before group supports begin.
Current Capacity
JH Mentoring currently has capacity across Adelaide and Greater Adelaide, with no formal wait-list at this time.
We aim to move from referral to service commencement within approximately two week where suitable, although this may depend on participant complexity, mentor matching, and how quickly required information can be gathered.
