Employment and Microbusiness Mentoring

What is Employment and Microbusiness Mentoring?

JH Mentoring supports participants who are interested in work, volunteering, community contribution or microbusiness goals.

Our approach is practical, supportive and focused on building real-world confidence.

For some participants, employment goals begin with confidence, routine and purpose. We support participants to explore what meaningful work or contribution could look like for them, then build practical skills step by step.

Microbusiness Goals

Some participants may be interested in creating a small business or interest-based project. This could involve exploring ideas, developing routines, practising communication, learning basic money skills, building confidence with customers or taking small steps toward a longer-term goal.

JH Mentoring can support this process in a practical, encouraging and person-centred way.

Work Readiness

Work readiness may look different for every person. For some participants, it may involve developing routines and confidence. For others, it may include practicing social communication, transport, time management, hygiene, task completion or customer service.

We focus on practical steps that match the participant’s goals, interests and support needs.
